Dear All,
This blog is an opportunity for us to share our experiences of the prayer room and Alive. As we immerse ourselves in 24/7 prayer in the next 3 weeks, let's be expectant in faith that we will see our prayers answered, and let's be encouraging each other by sharing those answers amongst each other. However, please do not feel that this is only a blog for answered prayers (although I'm looking forward to reading about some!), please also see this as a place to share thoughts, passages of scripture and other words of encouragement as you feel the Lord might be prompting. I'm hoping that by the end of term we will have a rich and vibrant tapestry expressing the varied spectrum of people in DICCU, recording this specific time as an encouragement for those who are yet to come after us. My prayer for this next 3 weeks is that we will see God's glory. The glory that points to Him in such a way as to evoke a plethora of reactions - love, praise, fear, awe. My prayer is that we will see His glory and tell of it to those around us, that in sharing His Gospel we might see lives changed as His Spirit inclines hearts towards Himself and that through a transformation of ourselves and our friends by His love and grace we might grow in every way as a community. My prayer is that in the prayer room, we will put Jesus at the centre and work outwards from there.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18).
